On the year's longest night, the atmosphere was eclectric as Elizabeth Rosner read from Blue Nude, the haunting story of a blocked German artist in San Francisco and his Israeli model. Tim Pratt, author of Hart & Boot & Other Stories, contributed the most sinister Santa Claus story ever. Chaim Bertman gave us “Monster Movies,” about a fascinatingly uninhibited boy and the trouble he gets into. Elizabeth Bernstein read her soon-to-be-filmed story “Alice,” making this the first InsideStoryTime to feature two parasitic worm stories in a row – although hopefully not the last! Genanne Walsh opened the proceedings with an excerpt from her powerful novel-in-progress about a runaway girl.
